About My Photography This site was created as an online portfolio of my various photographic work. I use many different cameras and photographic processes in my photography and I am interested in lo-tech and uncontrolled image making. I am interested in light itself as a subject and the act of taking a photograph. For me the act of documenting a moment in time is just as interesting as what the image turns out to be. Most of the images were taken with lo-tech cameras, printed on polaroids, and generally not composed. The processing and printing of the images has also been left largly to chance by using different developers, different paper and often waiting far too long to get slides developed. I have therefore left the images mostly how they are in my collection. There is very little, if any, color correction or cropping. The only corrections made have been to clean up dust or scratches from scanning. This creates a disconnect to what I imagine I am shooting and what I actually get, making the situations which the images were shot a bit strange and foreign. As I created this site I began to see connections between the photographs that I had previously never seen. They range from content choices to style to composition.
